Naturalezza dello Yoga

Vanda Scaravelli’s Yoga developed between the anatomical precision of Iyengar, the emphasis on breathing of Desikachar and it was influenced by her deep friendship with the philosopher Krishnamurti. It focuses on the spinal column, between gravity and lightness, between heaven and earth, and through it on the freedom of breathing, as well as in connecting and making the parts of the body communicate, as if they were instruments of a large orchestra. Between uninterrupted practice and non-attachment to the results of this… you let it happen.
The four meetings include a guided practice, elements of experiential anatomy to broaden the sensitivity and freshness of listening. Practical indications and suggestions from the texts Awakening the Spine by Vanda Scaravelli and Notes on Yoga by Diane Long will be explored..

First meeting: The joints
Second meeting: The spinal column
Third meeting: Anthropometry, the measurement of the body
Fourth meeting: The connective tissue. Integrity of the body and integrity of the connective tissue.

Objectives:
Create a starting point to develop or strengthen a strong and constant personal practice, in which to awaken one’s full presence and for those who already teach, reevaluate and personalize what has been learned so far, living it with greater depth, presence, gratitude and naturalness.

Each meeting takes 6 to 8 hours. It can be organized online and in person.

To be Sensitive is to be Alive

The in depth course “to be sensitive is to be alive” develops in five meetings and follows an exploration of the practice through the different constituents of the body:

1. Fluids
2. Organs\viscera
3. Bones
4. Deep muscles
5. Breath

In fact, every aspect of our physicality reflects a different quality of movement, a different dynamic, a psychological state, a phase of emotional and mental development, and listening to this body’s qualities that derive from it lead to a more adaptable, accessible and authentic practice.
Each meeting takes 6 to 8 hours. It includes a guided practice, elements of experiential anatomy and practical indications and suggestions from the text Awakening the spine by Vanda Scaravelli and Notes on Yoga by Diane Long will be explored.

Objectives:
Starting from even small experiential works, to try to touch the essence of the practice beyond the technique. Create an opportunity to develop or strengthen a strong personal practice, in which to reawaken one’s presence and for those who already teach to reevaluate and personalize what has been learned so far, living it with greater depth, presence, gratitude and naturalness.

Quando il corpo è aperto, anche il cuore lo è

Tra terra e Cielo (Between earth and sky)

A Course that returns to the fundamental points of the method and vision of Yoga, inspired by Vanda Scaravelli: foundation, lightness, uprightness and breathing. A savouring of the practice and of oneself, cultivating awareness in the moment with the freshness and openness of a beginner.

Esplorando: Strutturare e destrutturare (Exploration: Structuring and deconstructing)

Starting from the typical Integral Yoga lesson, we will explore asana, mudra
and pranayama in many diverse ways while following the same pattern. Repetition will be an opportunity to be immersed in the present rather than performing mechanical and gymnastic acts, exilerating in the freshness of experience rather than create habits.
From 10 January 2024 till 27 March every Wednesday online – zoom from 7pm till 8:30pm

Movimento e Quiete (Movement and stillness)

Through more dynamic practices and complex postures, we will discover how movement and stillness can meet in the presence of oneself and by the process of listening to oneself. Undoing instead of doing, acting without reacting.
