An In-depth Course for Yoga Teachers and Enthusiasts, Approved by Yani
Four Seasons, Four Keywords
Winter and Abhyasa: Practice
Spring and Vairagya: non-attachment
Summer and Svadhyaya: Self study
Fall and Ishvara Pranidhana: Surrender to God
The in-depth study I am offering this year explores the evolution of practice through four key words and concepts. Throughout the year, these elements will reflect and engage in a dialogue with one another, establishing a rhythm of practice and listening— an interplay between structure and deconstruction, a framework that reveals the open space surrounding it. Each season will carry this inquiry forward, integrating it into a practice nurtured and inspired, above all, by the vision of Yoga as presented by Vanda Scaravelli.
Each season will feature three sessions. The practice initially introduced will subsequently be explored through the lens of accessibility (using a chair or lying down), the dynamism of a “flow” sequence, and Yin Yoga—complemented by experiential, somatic anatomical study and a meditation designed to refine the practice and highlight the seasonal focus.
The four cycles that make up this course can be taken separately.
The course will be held simultaneously in person and online, on Sundays from 10:30 to 13:30, on the following dates
December 20, January 24, February 21, March 21, April 18, May 23, June 13.
(Dates for July, August, September, October, and November are yet to be determined)
The meetings will primarily take place at the Associazione Calice,
located at Via Pietro Paolo Rubens 38, in the Parioli area of Rome.
However, the location may vary in some instances.
