“Yoga is joy, celebration and creativity. Each discovery and sensation I receive from my daily practice and studying, is a stimuli to share with others. Yoga is like poetry. When an individual experience is shared, it evolves into a universal one.”
Benedetta Capannna follows the Yoga teacher training programme at the Integral Yoga Institute of New York (2002) and at the Yoga institute of Rome (2005) . She has been member of YANI – Italian Yoga Teacher Association since 2008.
Her teaching, rooted in the Integral Yoga, is inspired by the creative encounter with Diane Long with whom she has been exploring Vanda Scaravelli’s approach to Yoga since the fall 2007 and by Jader Tolja with whom she successively achieves a master in experential anatomy – body thinking from 2011 to 2015.
Practicing Yoga for Benedetta is a joyful journey reawakening present moment awareness, curiosity, knowledge, mystery and poetry. The essence of yoga is self integrity, being in the self and is not a series of repetitive techniques to bring to perfection.
She has also followed Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Corina Benner, obtained Yoga of the Heart Cardiac and Cancer Certification training with Nishala Devi, as well as taking the Adapting Yoga for Disability Level 1 and the Accesible yoga Teacher Training of which she is now Ambassador.
In Rome she has held Women Yoga conferences at the Institue of Universal Yoga, seminars on Body/Mind Balance at the Tashi Delek Tibet event at Pallazzo Valentini, and “on depth and lightness in the tradition of Scaravelli” at the yoga festival in Rome. She regularly teaches groups, private classes, and holds retreats and workshops.
Benedetta is a Reiki practitioner.
